It discusses influences on Russia's corporate governance from other countries, particularly the US, Germany, and France. Aspects of Russian culture and traditions are then examined to see how they might influence the country's evolving corporate governance system. Although Russia will continue to be influenced by interantional standards and systems of other countries, the article concludes that Russian corporate governance will evolve into its won unique model reflecting the country's traditions, values, and culture. Implications for Western investors are discussed
